“Harry Potter” author J.K. Rowling said Monday that she recovered from a suspected case of COVID-19, although she said she hasn’t been tested.
“For last 2 weeks I’ve had all symptoms of C19 (tho haven’t been tested),” Rowling wrote on Twitter while sharing a video a of a technique that said claimed helped her manage her worst symptoms. Her husband, a UK doctor, recommended the breathing technique.
“I really am completely recovered and wanted to share a technique that’s recommended by doctors, costs nothing, has no nasty side effects but could help you/your loved ones a lot, as it did me,” she wrote.
The 54-year-old author is one of the latest celebrities to announce they have recovered from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) virus. Actor Tom Hanks, actor Idris Elba, singer Pink, NBA star Kevin Durant, and others tested positive the virus.
Thank you for your kind and lovely messages! I really am completely recovered and wanted to share a technique that’s recommended by doctors, costs nothing, has no nasty side effects but could help you/your loved ones a lot, as it did me. Stay safe, everyone x

Hanks wrote on his Instagram account on March 12 and said he had the CCP virus. He was treated in Australia in isolation, and he’s now back in the United States. Hanks wrote on Instagram: “Hey, Folks… we’re home now and, like the rest of America, we carry on with sheltering in place and social distancing. Many, many thanks to everyone in Australia who looked after us.”
The Epoch Times refers to the novel coronavirus, which causes the disease COVID-19, as the CCP virus because the Chinese Communist Party’s coverup and mismanagement allowed the virus to spread throughout China before it was transmitted worldwide.
