“We are in the process of defeating the radical left,” says President Trump, and calls on Republicans to stand firm

President Trump called on the Republicans to “toughen up” their positions and stand firm against leftist causes; otherwise, they could have unexpected consequences in the November elections.

War is declared, the enemy is leftist ideology, and President Donald Trump does not hesitate to expose and confront it. In his July 3 speech he was definite about this:

American heroes defeated the Nazis, dethroned the fascists, toppled the communists, saved American values, upheld American principles, and chased down the terrorists to the very ends of the Earth.  We are now in the process of defeating the radical left, the Marxists, the anarchists, the agitators, the looters, and people who, in many instances, have absolutely no clue what they are doing.”

We will never allow an angry mob to tear down our statues, erase our history, indoctrinate our children, or trample on our freedoms.” President Trump continued, referring to recent events involving extreme leftist groups.

He also rejected the “culture of cancellation,” in which people have been shaming others for previous social media postings with which they disagree, and in some cases threatening their livelihoods by trying to use the postings to get them fired from their jobs.

“This is the very definition of totalitarianism,” President Trump said, “and it is completely alien to our culture and our values, and it has absolutely no place in the United States of America.

In an interview with RealClear Politics released Wednesday, President Trump said his party needed to enlist in the culture war or risk ruin. “If the Republicans don’t toughen up and get smart and get strong and protect our heritage and protect our country,” he explained, “I think they’re going to have a very tough election.”

President Trump has less than four months to convince the country that Biden is the face of the “cultural revolution of the left,” a challenging task considering that the former vice president campaigned moderately compared to the rest of the Democratic primary field. Any centrist appearance on the part of his political opponent, according to President Trump, only serves to camouflage a regime change that would bring some financial collapse and an invading state.

President Trump said that losing the election would lead to “a system that no one will want to be a part of, a system that will lead to another Venezuela. He argued that a Biden presidency means “a massive and very deep depression in this country because he intends to raise taxes massively so that everyone pays for programs that don’t work.

With only four months to go before the next elections, nothing seems to be working for the Republican president, who has expressed himself as determined and optimistic in his assessment of the situation: “This was going to be a blowout, and then China hit us with the ‘China virus,’ and all of a sudden, it discombobulated this country and the entire world. Now, it’s a much closer situation. …  We were sailing to an easy victory. Now, I have to fight for the victory, but I’ve been fighting all my life. That’s what I do. I fight for victory.”
